The new LJ EULA

This was the post I just posted over on livejournal

That is the reason I just spend...ok the reason I let dreamwidth import all my entries (I've really been here since 2000/2001-ish).

There are a lot of good memories there ("And the Boston Red Sox are World Champions. For the first time in 86 years, the Red Sox have won baseball World Championship can you believe it" was the radio call, I wept like a baby was my call). To some not so good memories, a let's say a relationship that I tried not to think about when it was over and 2 years ago came up again in a way that you would really rather it didn't.

So all of it is imported...I think, it looks like it.

And with it I will be letting go of livejournal next month (May). The EULA has some pretty sketchy wording as far as political postings go, and I'm really worried about how they handle anything LBGTQ in nature (meaning they are anti)

I'm chiefted over at dreamwidth, and it's still Coffee based Lifeform and Boy who drew the purple dog so you should be able to find me.

Anywho follow me over there.

And the winner in our "what do I have to wear now to get my elbow to heel is...

Whee. Physical Therapy appointment, the initial one is set up for next week.

I like this typing two handed and "mousing" with my right hand thing.

P.S. Yes I was able to flip the picture around. It is the right arm that was busted up.

Ok so finally gettin around to it

Yup I slipped on leaves, wet of course.
Yup I put my arm out to break my fall.
Yup consider breaking fall, I broke my elbow

both the top and bottom bones in my elbow

and managed to get a bone chip out of the whole deal.

So yes I am grateful for the MacSpeech dictation software I purchased.
Most of the time, well 90% of the time, it works well.

And yes here's the picture of me and my cast.

Ok my photographer type folks

Hoping that some of you photographer type people, [ profile] joedecker, [ profile] johno,
and [ profile] klwalton sorta looking at you, I am about to make the jump (yes finally)
into the DSLR world.

I have had the point and shoot type digital camera for "goofing around" but any of the
"good stuff" photos that I have been shooting have been on my trusty Nikon with actual

So what would you suggest for a new to the DSLR world, but not really a newbie photographer.

Couple of things that I think are important:

I tend to shoot things in motion (ok trains, lots of trains)
I do some night/low light work (more trains but usually they are just sitting there)
Portrait photos are at the bottom of the list as is "nature shots"

Would like to keep it below 750 dollars if possible.

I am not "wedded" to a brand, my Nikon has given me at least 12 years worth of
trusty service though.

The Battleship Yamato

No [ profile] owenandrews we can't build this in the HODO.

Besides where would we put the darn thing, it would have to go in the back yard
and it would take up half of it.

The Bros. Brick brings word that Jumpei Mitsui's six-year project, the minifig-scale Battleship Yamato, is finally complete.

Length: 6.6 meters (22 feet) from bow to stern
Width: 1 meter (3 feet) at the widest point midship
Scale: 1/40
Time to complete: 6 years, 4 months
Parts: 200,000 LEGO elements
Weight: 150 kilograms (330 pounds)

Just so you know

Yay its Opening Day.

And just so you know

Tessie is the Royal Rooters rally cry
Tessie is the tune they always sung
Tessie echoed April through October nights
After serenading Stahl, Dinneen and Young
Tessie is a maiden with a sparkling eye
Tessie is a maiden with a love
She doesn't know the meaning of her sight
She's got a comment full of love

And sometimes when the game is on the line )
